Editorial & Corrections Policy

Punjab First News is committed to accurate, fair and independent journalism. This policy explains how we work.

Accuracy and verification

• We verify facts with reliable sources before publishing, and we say where information comes from.
• When a story is still developing, we say so and update it as facts become clear.
• We do not publish rumours as news.

Independence

• Our news decisions are made by our editorial team, not by advertisers, political parties or sponsors.
• Advertisements are clearly labelled "Advertisement" and kept separate from news content.

Photos and videos

• Photos that are not from the event itself are labelled "file photo".
• Images from other sources are credited with their author and licence.

Corrections

If we make a mistake, we correct it as quickly as possible. Significant corrections are noted in the story. To report an error, call or WhatsApp us on +91 78385 07536 with the link to the story and the details of the error.

Fairness and privacy

We give people who are criticised in a story a chance to respond, and we avoid naming victims of sexual crimes or minors in criminal cases.
